Inspired by a sunset and a recent downpour, I stopped the car and took a few photos of the scene in front of me, this is what I came up with.

Winter lino print
Over the last few weeks I have been having another go at lino printing, taking some inspiration from the rooftops in Stockport I came up with an idea for a painting and a lino print. Its a time consuming project but very enjoyable and a bit messy, what's not to love.
The painting is finished and I will share soon, so for now here is a few pics of the lino print.

Halloween
I love this time of year, and even though my children are all grown up, I still love to get involved in the spooky goings on.This year I have made a 3 teir red velvet cake and decorated it with a sugar skull and chocolate cobwebs, taken all day, when I should have been catching up with some chores .The housework can wait for another day.

Commission
My latest painting, only a very small 7x9 acrylic on board.
A birthday present for an avid climber.
A recent trip to EICA:Ratho in Edinburgh was the inspiration for this painting.

Market Map
Inspired by all things old and nostalgic, I felt compelled to paint the town map, Stockport's Old town and market place, look up and you will see such amazing buildings, doing my research ,some that no longer exist have been replaced by real eyesores, such a shame , however what remain must be treasured. How great it would be to take a step back in time, just for a day, when the Market place and Underbanks were bustling during the early 20th Century, with none of the trappings of modern day.

Old Stockport.
Who would have thought it, 18 months ago I painted one of my favourite pictures, 'Old Stockport'
inspired by Stockport memories.
Now I have a full range of merchandise available Tea towels, Prints, cards and my latest addition mugs.
All of theses are available direct through me,
I shall be at the Christmas Handmade market on Sunday 1st November or you can get in touch direct just e-mail me lucyab64@hotmail.co.uk
They are also available from the Tourist Information centre, in Staircase house Market place Stockport.
Its been great doing the research for my paintings, looking back on so many photos, flicking through my ever growing collection of Stockport books and of course talking to people and sharing stories.
I would still like to find out where the big sculpture that resided at the end of Merseyway ended up.
